We aim to support Gypsies and Travellers living in London as they seek to gain greater control over their lives, more influence on the decisions that affect them, more opportunities and an end to the discrimination they experience every day.
The ways we work
There are five ways we work with and for the Gypsy and Traveller community in London.
- We support community-led campaigns
- We provide advice and training
- We represent the community when national and local policies and decisions are being made
- We speak out against discrimination
- We carry out research addressing needs in the community and documenting the importance of its culture
The services we provide
Among the services we provide are:
- An accommodation and advocacy service
- Adult training in literacy, IT and practical skills
- Interactive online maps charting the services for the community’s history and experience of services in the capital
- Activities and training for young people
- A consultancy service for organisations such as employment centres, local authorities and schools and colleges
How you can be involved
Our organisation works in partnership with individuals and groups from the Gypsy and Traveller community, supporting them to represent themselves and make their voices heard. Members of the community can:
