London Gypsies and Travellers has been awarded a charity quality mark after an external assessment by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO).
The assessment concluded that LGT “has a clear planning structure, strong governance and robust values which they put into practice by ensuring that users are at the heart of everything they do”. As a result, LGT has been awarded the NCVO Trusted Charity Mark Level 1.
The assessors said that LGT’s trustees and senior management team provide strong leadership and clear financial control, and that staff feel valued and enjoy their roles. “The commitment and dedication across the whole organisation are infectious and the sense of purpose is backed up by sound administrative practices and tried and tested monitoring and evaluation systems,” concluded their report.
