London Gypsies and Travellers reports on a year of successful projects and positive change in its annual review of 2017.
“The issues facing London’s Gypsies and Travellers are as significant today as they have ever been,” says LGT Chair Stephen Cottle in his introduction. “The past year has seen the charity strengthened and better able to address those issues.”
The report charts how 2017 saw the organisation change its name, adopt a new brand, relaunch its website and gain acclaim for its “We are all so many things…” campaign. It also reports on the development of LGT’s new project mapping London for Gypsies and Travellers, and the organisation’s increasing presence in the capital’s political decision-making process.

The year’s successes and challenges were also discussed by members of the community, staff and trustees at LGT’s Annual General Meeting on 1st February. The AGM also celebrated the 20th anniversary of the organisation working with the community as an independent charity. The anniversary is also marked in a new timeline LGT video, presenting activity over 20 years.
